Drop Board Retainers | Making & Test Fit

Some time ago I decided to make the drop board retainers removeable, and to use Sapele which will look nice varnished.

I obtained some 9mm board, but before cutting good timber I made a pattern and adjusted the shape until I was happy with it.

The pattern was 5cm wide and 60cm tall. That looked about right.

Then I made the retainers and clamped them in place. Here they are, seen from the port side.

They will look great in contrast to the white cabin wall.
