Upper Breast Hook | Rounding Over

After I had dry fitted the transom skirt support blocks I decided I needed a bit of light relief, so I got out the router to prettify the upper breast hook before fitting it.

It didn't take long. I did it outside so I wouldn't make a mess in the workshop.

Here is the breast hook clamped to a board and the router fitted with a 3/8" bearing guided round over cutter.

And here is the breast hook after rounding over.

I have only shaped the lower face at this stage. I will finish the upper face after installation,  when I can see what I will be able to do to round over the inside edge of the forward deck sheerclamp at the same time.

This will have to wait until the cabin roof and Dorade boxes are complete, so some time off!
