Lots of Prep Work!

While working on other parts of the boat, such as the seatback stringers, I did a lot of simple preparatory work in the background.

I clear coated the cabin tops with resin, as here.


The sharp eyed reader will notice that I have done one inside and one outside face! Both panels ended up with a single coat on both sides and a light sanding.

The Dorade box sides and the frame supports for the seatback stringers received the requisite three clear coats of resin, sanded between coats. Like this.


The seatback tops and the transom skirt got the same treatment.


As did the seatbacks. Here is the port seatback being sanded between coats.



I used the big Rotex 150 on the large panels. It makes quick work of them!

I will try to make the next post a bit more exciting ...
