Tabernacle | Laminating A Backing Plate

The inside face of the front cabin wall must be reinforced to take the increased load of the removable tabernacle.

The manual specifies an 18mm backing plate, glued to the cabin wall.

I made some 18mm stock by laminating two pieces of 9mm ply, as here.

The sheets of ply are clamped firmly to the bench and squeezed together with heavy weights to ensure there are no voids in this heavily stressed part of the boat.
